One-On-One Business Development Consultations

The Chamber works closely with the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) of Hampton Roads. Business owners and prospective business owners can schedule an appointment to meet with a SBDC representative on a one-on-one basis at the Chamber of Commerce office. These consultations help guide business owners through the many issues of entrepreneurship. There is no charge for this confidential service. Income Tax Reporting Lunch & Learn

The Isle of Wight-Smithfield-Windsor Chamber of Commerce is holding a Lunch and Learn workshop titled "Organizing Receipts for Income Tax Reporting" facilitated by Pat Merica of A+ Bookkeeping Services on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 from 11 am to 1 pm at the Magnolia Manor, 101 John Rolfe Drive, Smithfield in the Magnolia Hall meeting room.
Ms. Merica will review Schedule C Expense Classifications and the pros and cons of classifying workers as employees or subcontractors. Materials and lunch will be provided.
